Two Murder International hitmen attempt to kill an important witness, and Steed is assigned to take her to a safe house.
Tara is kidnapped and tricked into revealing all she knows about the safe house by a staged bomb blast, which appears to have killed Mother in Steed's apartment. Discovering the dupe when her leg casts break off and she finds herself uninjured, she rushes to Mother who, with the aid of Special Services, constructs a house exactly matching Tara's divulged information, and he and Rhonda capture the gang while Tara tracks down Steed.
Steed's tracing his family tree, only to discover he's descended - tenuously - from Royalty; King Huffin of the Fens!
