Re: 4.08 - Room Without A View

Gave this my first viewing last night, yes really! I saved a couple of episodes to have "a new one" a last time. This is probably my least favourite of series four. It lacks anything to make it stand out, my guess is this could have been the cheapie of the production block. Not having gran...

If she did it in character as Patsy (Absolutely Fabulous), I'd even watch. :D

It was also omitted in the 60s broadcasting in The Netherlands, not surprising as in 1980 an ad with Paul Eddington was banned due to a woman having to provocative red lips.

Re: Movies that seem to take place in Avengerland

A strategically chosen screenshot could challenge even the most ardent fans. Every now and then German TV repeats the 60s West-German Edgar Wallace films of which certain shots could pass for THE AVENGERS or an ITC series. Anything from the sixties is going to be a candidate for looking a like. I re...

Re: That Hallway Looks Familiar!

Just watched an THE BARON last evening and one of the sets could just as well have been a screenshot from THE AVENGERS (or THE SAINT/DEPARTMENT S/....). Probably a lot of overlap in set builders and as we know in props. I just doesn't bother me, because it is not a mistake and why watch to just find...

Re: 5.17 - Death's Door

I have stated in the past that the Peel colours are the most formulaic of all the Avengers seasons, but Death's Door can't be accused of this. We have few back-to-the-apartment scenes and apart from the dreams-made-real plot its quite down to earth for the Avengers. Also no eccentric characters. Th...

Re: The Avengers by Douglas Enefer

Lucky you, Enefers book is high on my list of most desired Avengers items. Although I will admit I check eBay far too infrequently, shame on me.

If you'd be willing to share a front and back cover scan with us, I'd much appreciate it.
