So very sad to hear about Patrick. I was fortunate enough to work with his son Rupert on a short film for The Avengers 50th anniversary featuring Patrick in 2011. That glint in the eye, that charm and warmth were all there as he spoke fondly about the show and the people who helped make it. https://...

The Avengers on Tomorrows World 18th September 1968

A nice little bonus feature on the two disc blu ray set of "Filmed in Supermarionation" by Network is an episode of the BBC science and new tech programme "Tomorrows World" from September 1968. Featured is the use of "video assist" on the 1969 film "Doppelgänger&qu...

I tweeted to them about it yesterday and here's the reply:

Hi Paul, we are trying to sort it out but in the mean time you can turn your tv settings to auto. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Great to see The Avengers back on the telly but what a strange presentation it is! The picture is very narrow. I'm surprised as most of the channel's output is 4x3 which they seem to have no problem with!?

Hi Darren,

It's a style or look book for potential products. We'll see if it gains any ground

A Tooned up Classic

Hello everyone, I've been working the last year or so alongside animator Tom Baker (who's recently been art director on the new Mr Bean cartoon series) and Studio Canal at developing an extensive style book of "Tooned up" products featuring our favourite secret agents. With enough interest...

I've no idea what the issues are with this release but as a documentary maker myself i can only guess it must be something to do with release forms not having been signed for appearances in it? Surely the rights are with Studio Canal for the Avengers and it would be easy enough to have them cleared?

The Avengers 50th Anniversary celebration: One year on video

Here's a lovely little video showing snippets of some of the talks and events during the Avengers 50th anniversary weekend in Chichester in June 2011. https://vimeo.com/45910792 A great event and a most enjoyable one. Lovely to see our Patrick film and opening animation in here as well - thank you :)

Diana Rigg Set to Play Game of Thrones

Diana joins the hit fantasy U.S drama Game of Thrones for season three. I wonder if this is a one off or a recurring character for the entire season? What with Dr Who and now this it seems Diana is keeping her sci-fi/fantasy drama fans very happy. http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/tv/news/Game-247456.html
