Re: Back to nature

Emma says, I believe: "I will have to take some reefs (?) in my bedsheets tonight." She's referring to the draft blowing through her room, and reefs are something to do with sailing, actual sails, I believe. . :D I missed this the first time around. Reefing means to reduce the effective a...

Dandy, I've notice your concern with age differences, and many people hold that opinion. However, it doesn't really bother me. To each his own. I do remember several episodes where Purdey gave every impression of being strongly attracted to Steed - and not just as a fellow agent. I wish I could reme...

Blacke's Magic: It's a Jungle Out There
Nice clip. Patrick's acting makes Richard Hatch look like a drama school dropout.

I am very fond of Fog also. I like the story, and particurlarly the Victorian atmosphere. Given the modern look of most of the Taras, though, this episode is a bit unbalancing - but in a positive way. I am much more unbalanced, however, when I see Sherlock Holmes fighting Nazis. It just isn't...

Did you notice that Emma had the strength to bend the bars to capture Yolande Turner, but it apparently hadn't occurred to her that she could bend them to escape?

The Avengers takes me back to a different time in my life. Not a better time or a worse time, just a different time. The series brings back memories of people and events in my life, and it just makes me feel good. It's not an episode or a cast member - it's the whole experience that I like.

In those days, TV was looked down upon as a lesser medium. With some exceptions, it was difficult for TV stars to move "up" to the movies. And, once there, movie "stars" tended not to move back "down." Later, the path became much more two-way. Clint Eastwood, James Garn...

You're correct, of course. The "this vs. that" discussion doesn't accomplish much. My only point was, that with fairly equallly matched practioners, the first one to lose the advantage is in trouble. Just an observation from 25 years of training (20 as an instructor) and five years of tour...
