It's a great episode, if (or maybe because it's) completely over the top. I especially like the 'important announcements', Monty Python avant la lettre.

I'm struggling with this one as well. What's the point of these passwords anyway. Hardly classified information if you ask me.

Last episode I saw was All Done With Mirrors, more or less a solo effort for Linda and she really shines in this one. I particularly ...

I've just seen Super Secret Cypher Snatch. First time I saw it and it was great fun. Classic sixties espionage plot, wonderful script and lovely characters. Linda Thorson was very good in this one, too.

OK, enough about spelling, back to Hitch. ;)

One other Hitchcock movie that Avengers fans may like is The Trouble With Harry. Plotwise it's nothing like the Avengers (though it vaguely resembles Murdersville), but the absurd story and the hilarious characters may appeal to fans of the series.

Hitchcock films were a huge influence to the Avengers. We can see that in "The 39 Steps" (1935), "Lady Vanishes" (1938), "Rebecca" (1940), "Foreign Correspondent" (1940), "Spellbound" (1945), "Strangers on a Train", "Vertigo" (my...

You don't like Hitchcock? For me the Avengers has so much in common with Hitchcock, Clemens' episodes in particular. The influence is so evident in episodes like The House that Jack Built, The Joker, etc. Beneath the veneer of charm in TA, there is something quite nasty and sadistic that Hitchcock ...

enjoy your fifteen minutes of fame! Thanks... I guess :?: It's very Andy Warhol like, and he once said: In future everybody is going to be famous for fifteen minutes. Ah... knew the quote, but didn't know it was Warhol's. Thanks! I didn't design it, of course. It's just some picture I found ...
