Re: Now and then

Always nice to know that people are still going to the locations used in the series and having so much fun doing so. :)

Re: 4.07 - The Gravediggers

Glad you all liked the pics 😀.... I am aware not everyone is so close to such a location. Plus the limited times of the year it is open to the public. My wife and I have been lucky enough to get along there for the open days a few times over the years, and it really is a lovely place to visit. Glad...

Re: Original script

Are they the only pictures of the script? It says "Julian Wintle" at the top, must have been the producer's copy of the script. Episode 31 is correct as it was E.66.6.5 in the paperwork, and there had been 26 episodes in series 4 (designated E.64.10.1-26) Episodes were numbered from the s...

Re: 4.05 - Too Many Christmas Trees

Brian Clemens' famous quote about "thicker cardboard" springs to mind :) Yes! Quite! :) The more I think about it... the more I think he put that very well. Because it's not real relationships - like you'd have in a taped drama like "The Sandbaggers" or anything... but it is a d...

Re: 4.05 - Too Many Christmas Trees

As do I. Although my watching history of the series over 40 years does not go prior to season 4… I still love to see how the characters, film style, sets and wardrobe evolve… especially when viewed in production order. I love that season 4 is so different to season 5 and likewise season 6, after it...

Re: 4.05 - Too Many Christmas Trees

It's in that rather interesting period where the show's just gone to film... but the scripts are still written at times as if for tape. As such, you get a rather tight, studio-heavy script… Well observed Bless you Rob. I find the points of transition fascinating. One of my regrets - I suppose - is ...

Re: 4.05 - Too Many Christmas Trees

Just watched it after many, many years… should have watched this 2 months ago to tie in with Christmas! Great episode (albeit I scored it 7/10… do not shoot me, I have a super critical and personal scale!) How cool with the ‘hall of mirrors’ and shooting the villain there… beat Bond by almost 10 ye...

Re: Avengers Day - January 7th

Dare I say this out loud on this forum. … after all these years I am still a pre-season 4 virgin. Is that a problem? I've just had a think and I'm not sure that this is a problem. Certainly not for me anyway... ... and I would hope not for you either. Just means that there's even more fun with &quo...

Re: Emma Peel Tag Theme

Just loving the wealth of knowledge here and the thoroughness of the archives. I think it's great that things keep moving on and the field is never static. Always new things appearing all the time to discover, and that lovely feeling of knowing that whatever do is obsolete the moment it's published...
