I agree. I'm more of a '62-'64 fan. I find Cathy much more interesting.
Cathy Gale seems a serious minded rebel type-Whereas Purdey is a little more like a goofy annoying little sister, but fun!

Yep!"Coviat emptor". There are many things we will never experience again, better, worse or ever-On VHS, DVD or BD. Let's act out these scenes in our minds and souls... Live life! Hug the Grandkids,Pet your pets , design a cathedral...etc. Or, we could all climb in to bed, get under the co...

Yep! All pretty obvious. My. '62-'64 DVD sets look pretty top notch on my HDTV anyway. Really just interested in the filmed series 65-68. We will indeed have to hang on to some DVDs.

Yes, but as you can notice, people start to think the battle is DVD versus BR. Odd, isn't it? Battle? The two aren't comparable. You either have an HDTV,or you don't. They're going to be(have been) released on blu Ray whether people like it or not. Don't have the scratch? Stick with the DVDs.There'...

I think perhaps Alan is probably the one most "in the know" about this one. I would probably expect a Blu Ray release of Season 4( b&w Rigg)in the States sometime next year to co-incide with the UK version in May. The other seasons, save the early video taped series' will hopefully fol...

I agree, every season, let alone every episode has it's own distinct wonderful character, but if I had a gold plated ivory carved handled revolver points to my head : 1) Season 5 (color Rigg series) 2) Season 3 ( b&w Blackman series) 3) Season 6 ( color Thorson series) 4) Season 4 ( b&w rigg...

Blu Ray release in the UK

It now looks official on the Amazon.co.uk site, that a release of season 4 is slated. Although 7 months away, I'm excited and hope to see some nice extras...SO FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE A BLU RAY PLAYER AND ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE RELEASE-Any thoughts on what we think it should/ will include?

Yeah, I think I'm one of the extreme minority on this forum that has converted. Blu Ray is pretty mainstream here in Detroit. I've got a 46" In the living room that I only feed HD and a 27 " in the bedroom that only gets SD. The 46 looks ridiculously better and it's the same distance. Even...
