Really sad news - to say he'll be missed is an understatement. What a gentleman and a lovely, lovely man.

So sad to hear this news. His legacy will live on. I'm so pleased I got to meet him in Chichester to tell him how fantastic The Avengers was.

Paul O'Grady hosted "Friday Night Is Music Night" last night on Radio 2. And as you'd expect with Paul in charge, The Avengers music took centre stage :P The BBC Concert Orchestra did a cracking version of The Avengers (Johnston) then segued into TNA, then back to The Avengers. Paul noted ...

Paul was just reminiscing on his BBC Radio 2 show about when he had a train set as a kid. He had an Emma Peel doll that he used to tie to the train track.

Presumably after watching "The Gravediggers" no doubt!

I'll echo Big Bear's comments - a really great evening. Thanks Jaz. The 2 stories were really brought to life by the big screen. The b/w Peel season was made for an event like this! More of the same please!
