With only the Diana era to consider (those eps are the sum total of my collection so far) I also vote for Liz Frazier in "Auntie". She was so engaging, lively and adventuresome...icing on the cake for said ep is Diana in bikini and skin net.

1. It could be that because of the effects of the drug and the trauma of Emma leaving causes Steed to imagine/fantasise he is seeing himself drive off into the sunset with Mrs Peel. See how Steed looks in disbelief as if he can't believe what he see is happening. It ain't! . That's a good idea, Dan...

This query may have already been addressed in this thread or elsewhere, and if so please pardon. The scene in the reading room early on when the murder occurs and no one interrupts reading...there is a woman, back to the camera, wearing a yellow dress who has the build of Diana as well as her hair c...

Within the Emma era (which are the only episodes I own), Mission Highly Improbable reminds me of a 1950's science fiction B-movie. The most entertaining moment is "Tell me Steed, is everything to size?" (as best I recall). I assume Mission is a poke at the Mission Impossible series. I'd pr...

Same thing happens in Death's Door.
Darren beat my time in pointing out the color change. Otherwise, wasn't Diana's suit an Emmapeeler?

Steed identifying the correct end of the vineyard in my father's Dial a Deadly Number is still a favourite of mine, as well as Lovejoy's inability to repeat (without pausing for embarassed breath) Mrs Peel's wish for a man 'with stamina' in The Murder Market. And the monocle falling out of the eye,...

Her wistful smile from the car suggests that she was already having second thoughts. After multiple viewings of the farewell scene in Steed's flat, Diana's demeanor seems very hesitant. Of course I don't know if she was directed to play it as such or not, but she definitely give the impression she ...

I, too, was struck by the awkward and tedious nature of that interesting German interview, the tone being set by the interviewer's "actress" question of Diana. From her initial facial expression, Diana's reaction is obvious. Granted, language barrier aggravated the situation but Diana paus...

Thank you, Dandy, and you're quite right quoting Steed from the same episode. The cartoon-ish buzzing voice of the Colonel on Steed's phone adds to the humor and after Steed apologizes because it's another body, Steed's irritated answer to the Colonel's rant is "no, I'm not trying to corner the...
