My sincere condolences, Rodney. Roger wrote intelligent, serious, riveting scripts -with razor-sharp dialogue, some of the best in Avengers history. In addition to Roger's delightfully crisp dialogue - his scripts gave the opportunity to be classically interpreted in pure visual style by some beauti...

Very sad news. So very glad I saw her live at a James Bond Anniversary concert at the Sage in Gateshead in 2011. Honor narrated the concert with verve, panache and humour for the entire programme which lasted over 2 hours. She mentioned The Avengers saying she did all her own stunts, to which she re...

The Avengers at Christmas

The Avengers at Christmas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMt3SeZv0PQ Following a short stay in hospital in mid-November, I recuperated by re-editing to an extended version of my original mini-video of the Avengers at Christmas – Christmas Dream… Christmas Nightmare. Hope everyone enjoys it :) Chri...

Very sad news - her acting and comic timing were perfect in the Dead Man's Treasure episode of The Avengers in 1967.
She was considered as a replacement for Diana Rigg - I think she would have been splendid.
RIP Valerie

Warlock is a superbly atmospheric episode - perhaps a forerunner to A Touch of Brimstone with dark themes of black magic and devil worship. I think The House That Jack Built and Murdersville are also brilliant dark Hitchcockian style psychological thrillers, dealing with threads of creeping insanit...

Very sad news. I remember him posting on the BritMovie forum along with Francis Matthews.
Whenever I saw his name on the titles I knew the episode or film would be extremely well crafted and that the viewing ahead would be riveting and immensely enjoyable.

I agree. Three of my countryside favourites in Series 4 are A Surfeit of H20, The Thirteenth Hole and Castle De'ath. In the colour era: You Have Just Been Murdered and the olde world medieval themes in Murdersville and the Tudor time-travelling of Escape in Time. The black and white crispness, featu...
