My earliest memory of seeing The Avengers on TV is of Emma Peel at the end of the 1965/66 opening titles. It's interesting comparing the use of camera angles then and now. Watching some of the Cathy Gale episodes I was impressed with some of the angles used. some of the peel monochrome offerings, are great..like castle le'death etc That's wonderfully done, agreed!
