Perhaps we should be on a mission to make the 50th anniversary known to television companies, memorabilia makers, book publishers etc. and get something going from ground level.
I'm sure there will be a huge song and dance over Dr No's 50th in a couple of years time, or Doctor Who's a year later, but The Avengers doesn't have the luxury of a current continuing franchise.
