From Silent Dust:

Miss Snow: Mr Steed, I wonder if you could help me? It's my horse.
Steed: Anything for you, my dear. What's wrong with it?
Miss Snow: Can't keep him away from the trough, just seems to want to keep on drinking all the time.
Steed: Oh, dear! I once had an auntie like that.

This made me laugh out loud for some reason.

I just recalled another great line from the tag for 'Something Nasty In The Nursery'. Emma is looking into her crystal ball, relaying what she see's. Suddenly she stops and Steed, clearly irritated, says,' And then!"
Emma- "The glass has gone cloudy."
Steed- "Can't you just give it a haaa!"
Very funny!

believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if i have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Steed: Did they hear anything?
Emma: Well, they heard the door, the shots ... and a curious whip-like sound
Steed: Whip-like?
Emma: "Pheeeeww!" (gestures)
Steed: Ex-tremely helpful ...

Both from The Hidden Tiger:

Cheshire: ...and this is our treatment room.
Emma: ...and who is that getting the "treatment"?

and...

Emma describing her cat Little John to Cheshire-

"He's mean tempered in the morning until he's had his Champagne." I may not be phrasing it right though. Anyway, those lines always make me giggle.

Ah yes...ranks right up there with Hidden Tiger's "and what is the name of your beloved pussy?" in the thinly veiled sexual innuendo category.
lord, forgot that one...what a hoot....innuendo, indeed !

Absolutely without a doubt one of my all-time favorite Avenger lines is at the beginning of "The Cybernauts" when Steed and Emma are investigating the first death in the mansion. Steed picks up the shotgun bent upright halfway down the stock and points it around the room:

Steed muses: Anywhere you aim it, you hit the chandelier.

I'm LOL'ing writing that out!

In Emily, Steed is attacked in the little tourist shop. He picks up the garbage can which had photos burning in it and tosses to his attacker. The man by reflex catches the can and the heat burns his hands. The man yells and drops the garbage can to the floor:

Steed: Butterfingers! (And then bops him solidly on the head with his steel-lined bowler and knocks him out).

Steed: "...you're lover...see you in ten minutes. Hoity toity!" - phonecall in "the girl from auntie" (I don't know if it's correct)

Steed: "Eee-urp!" - the winged Avenger

My favorite: "Who is Boofams?"

Most Outrageous: "I wouldn't mind giving you a stroke or two, on or off the course."
