Avengers TV Times PDF

Post by peelfan »

Hi peeps, :)
i`m a fairly new member on this forum and haven`t contributed that much and prefer to just read the posts etc, However a mate of mine has just given me 2 DVDs of the TV Times Magazines in PDF Format ( 1965-1971) and they feature some quite nice Avenger news items, and obviously tv schedules etc,

I guess these are quite rare and the quality is very good, I could easily upload these if anyone interested?
I haven`t had time to go through the whole lot as there are about 280 indivdual PDF Files!- but my plan is to extract just "Avenger related items"

so what do you guys/gals think? anyone interested?

I wouldn`t expect anything back in return ,only the knowledge they are going to a good home of "Like minded" Avenger fans :)

ps. dont know if this would infringe copyright laws or forum rules?

Regards
peelfan

EDIT.

On reflection i`ve decided to upload the whole pack from 1965-1971, I can manage the size by reducing the DPI to 100 (original 300 dpi)

let start from April 1964 (only month i have for 64), heres the link

EDIT< (new uploaded file to replace orignal password protected file, (password was applied in error)

Obviously These might not have Avenger Titbits in every magazine but you might find them interesting in their own right etc

let me know your thoughts :)

The Radio Times site has a monster section on Dr Who clippings. Seeing Avengers 'clippings' would be good. Especially articles.

The PDF Files were Password protected so you couldn`t extract any pages/images- but i managed to find a password remover software that sorted out that problem!

I will start browsing through them and extract all the Avenger goodies!

should be uploaded in a couple of days etc.

Sounds Great! Looking forward to seeing them!
believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if i have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

From the TV Times, of course - the Radio Times never featured any ITV shows (including "The Avengers") only BBC ones...
Last watched: "Concerto"

TV Times extracts File 1

Post by peelfan »

heres some scans i`ve found so far- its quite a tedious process browsing through every pdf file for snippets of the Avengers, I wonder if there`s a software that can search scanned documents for key words?

Anyway heres "File 1" , its a self extracting Rar file, you can just doubleclick the file and it will extract and create a new folder with the scans in etc

File 1 avenger scans (15mb)

http://www.sendspace.com/file/6494f9

ps; I`d thought about uploading the complete 1965-1971 pdf files but each "year" takes up about 900mb ,and whilst i have a fast internet connection obviously its going to take some time to upload and i want to be sure there are suffcient people interested etc.

Cheers
