I always forget to poke around the comics site. Lots of reading to do, I see.Dandy Forsdyke wrote:Steed and Cathy Gale were in the Manchester Evening News.
Check out Mike Noon's site. Avengers strips go back to Dr Keel and Steed in the TV Crimebusters annual in 1962.
Steed and Mrs Gale's newspaper adventures are featured here.

That wasnt the whole article! The group doesn't have Andrew Pixley writing for it, but the articles at The Forget Me Notes are a bit bigger than this generally!Sinus1994 wrote:Great.
I have never seen that before...
(one reason could be, that I have no idea about comics)

As its a Yahoo Group you have to join to see the articles/postings. But if you want to know the basics about strips it could be worth a visit? Its similar in some ways to the Winged Avenger site, but its different in lots of other ways.

But I haven't seen these kind of comics or at least other comics at all.
So, it's great (at least for me) you share these covers/previews of the comics/comic strips with us.

Sorry, not been around for a while. Thank you for mentioning this. Always interesting to see references.Timeless A-Peel wrote:I didn't know quite where to put this, but I've been reading a collection of Bond comics, and one story, "Fear Face", featured a discredited female agent using a suspicously familiar fake name.
"Belinda Thorsen." From Canada. Even the people working on Bond comics are Avengers fans.
And is that Peter Bowles behind her!?
