The 1980s Gareth Hunt v. Joanna Lumley coffee wars!

Post by Dandy Forsdyke »

I know you've seen these before but just for fun ...

Gareth Hunt and Nescafe

Joanna Lumley and Mellow Birds

Just makes me sad they couldn't have made a Gambit & Purdey series together. :(

I thought I was the only person who'd thought of this! Quite the coincidence they did them both at the same time. I can see Gareth and Joanna having a giggle about being one another's competition. :D

But I'm desperately sad we never got anything with the two of them together properly ever again, either as Purdey and Gambit or in other parts. I would have loved that. :(

Anything, really. Anything with Gareth and Joanna that let them properly interact, not just look at each other and exchange two lines.

It is indeed a shame, particularly as Gareth loved working with Joanna so much, and wanted to repeat the experience (I'm sure she would have liked to do it as well). That's an alternate universe I'd quite like to visit.
