Lucy Briggs-Owen as Carol Wilson

There's not been as much chat about Lucy's take on the first ever Avengers girl, but she's definitely worth a mention. Lucy is an experienced stage actress with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and has enjoyed at least one brush with cult television in an episode of Midsomer Murders.

Her performance as Carol has a good balance between feistiness and realism, innocence without being naive, and works really well with both of the other leads. The way she plays the game, with both Steed and Keel seeing her as 'their' confident or companion, but also the way she gets things wrong sometimes is an interesting angle on the first series.
