My first views must have been somewhere in the 70's. Even 1972 or 1973, I think. The coloured Emma Peel reels.
Prrr......

Scroll down the news page to download a PDF file of Linda Thorson's tribute to Patrick.
Thanks, Darren, that was splendid.

If anyone is interested, a few of us have started a 6th February is Patrick Macnee Day Facebook page. The idea will be to commemorate his birthday each year and raise a little money for an appropriate charity in the process. Please do come along and sign up if you're interested.

We got a wonderful tribute to his career and famous role as John Steed, last week on French television. 5 episodes from the fifth series were broadcast and it was a touching evening.

Patrick, we'll miss you enormously.
I've been blessed by The Avengers!

Has anyone posted Ray Austin's written tribute? If not, do you think he'd give permission for it to be posted (not everyone is on Facebook)?

We've heard and read Linda Thorson talking about the great man himself, Patrick Macnee, and reaction to his passing.

Joanna Lumley appeared on a couple of programmes this week, but I don't know if she was asked about him.

Have Honor Blackman or Joanna Lumley been asked to commemorate Mr Macnee, or offered any views on his life and career recently?

Obviously I don't want to intrude on private grief. I am however interested in sharing memories of the superb Patrick Macnee. Perhaps it may take some time, if ever, they feel like commenting. It must be an incredible loss for people who worked with him closely and knew this fine man.

I agree it must be hard for some express. I celebrated the man by watching Rehearsal for Murder. It's on YouTube
