It was very ingenious from the German broadcaster. :) Wonder if there are other original titles for this episode.

Margo, how you liked such variant? :)

Title "Tentacles of death from outer space".

Steed is interested in cactus
Emma becomes the slave of the man-eater

Quite a good title Denis. Sounds like a 50's sci-fi movie as well!

Ha, it is sadly that The Avengers are not started in the 50s.

Ha. This is great. Well done indeed.

Japan's titles are my favourite - so very literal. In nearly every case they completely spoil the plot (e.g. Hypnotic Murder). Fabulous!

I think L'heure perdue means The Lost Hour. The Lost Time would have been Le temps perdu.

Many thanks, Denis, though I use Google translator and online dictionaries for this thread, there are sometimes phrases which difficult to determine a exact meaning.

Funny, as for "L'heure perdue" I used following site for final result, because I could not decide, there was The Lost Hour or The Lost Time:

http://colognoisseur.com/new-perfume-re ... synthetic/

There posted:
L’Heure Perdue translates to “lost time” and this time it seems like a bit of non-sequitur for a name.

so I decided to go for this option, but it is now clear this is a mistake.

Denis, please, you could check out all the English translations of the French names of the episodes in this thread?
