Yes, for about 4 months in 1970...

And appeared in "Thingumajig" in season 7.

The characters played by John Cleese and Bernard Cribbins in the episode Look have to be genuine contenders. Completely mad!

Jeremy Lloyd was also Bertram Smith in From Venus With Love and Carruthers in the 1971 Avengers stage play.

Ironically he was also a regular on Rowan and Martin's Laugh In, the show that regularly beat The Avengers in the ratings on American TV, and some say the reason for the cancellation of Steed and co.
