Bill Hibbert (1932 - 2016) RIP

I just found out that actor of small roles, stand-in and junior Weight Lifting Champion, Bill Hibbert, died in 2016. This is not mentioned anywhere in Internet, releated to topic of TV and movie, maybe for the reason that his last residence was Spain and since then his path has been difficult to trace.

Bill was born on January 17, 1932 in East Molesey, Surrey, England, UK as Charles William Hibbert.

In the 1950s, he became noticeable in the field of bodybuilding, like his brother Norman Hibbert.

Somewhere at the same time or later, he began to work part-time as extra in film and television. Often afterwards he appeared with his brother and his wife, Sylvia Hibbert, (both stunt performers also) in the same works. Bill was a frequent face on the set and appeared in several hundred films (over 600 films).

He married Lily Marina Bell in 1957 (maybe she participated on the set too). She died in 1990.

Bill participated in several Avengers episodes, most notable of which was his role as Edward 'Ted' Murphy in b/w Emma Peel episode The Thirteenth Hole (1966).



He died on August 20, 2016 in Los Realejos, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.
