Oh, dear, lovely Honor

I've thought of her a few times recently. I didn't know she liked barely a few miles from me.

94 is a good age. Bless her.

I recall that it was mentioned that she was enjoying her retirement.

She was ground breaking. Diana Rigg may have taken the limelight due to more exposure (not to discredit her), Honor was the first, the original, the paradigm shifter.

Good morning everybody,

I have just heard the terribly saddening news that Honor has left us.

I want to thank everyone for those lovely messages already written about her and Honor, i shall certainly raise a glass to you this evening whilst watching you in The Avengers.

May you rest in eternal peace and thank-you for everything you have done in life and all the hearts you have touched.

The fondest memories remain.

The loss of an absolute icon. Cathy Gale influenced every leather clad fighting female TV and film character that followed her. Saw Honor at The Avengers 50th Anniversary event held at the University of Chichester years ago, where she spoke how Cathy Gale came about and shared a panel with Leonard White and they were later joined by Julie Stevens. She was great in other roles too such as her appearances Goldfinger, Doctor Who, A Twist of Sand, To the Devil and Daughter and Jason and the Argonauts.

This is very sad news - the loss of an icon, the loss of a goddess, the loss of a strong woman, the loss of a queen, the loss of a superb actor, the loss of a shining beacon of the Socialist cause.
