As I've noted before, the creepiest, most bone-chilling episode for me is "Return of the Cybernauts," and the Frankenstein-ish cybernauts easily fit the Halloween theme. But, the key is Paul Beresford as the creepiest Avengers villain with his nasty and nefarious future plans for utterly controlling Steed and Mrs. Peel. That was a horror movie in the making.
Luckily, Steed's super strength won the day!

puzzling...then would you consider ' halloween ' to be an American Holiday ? As I'm not sure it's celebrated in the UK...(?)Allard wrote:I consider halloween un-English and not Avengerslike. Although I am aware it has gained popularity since the sixties.
If, then I use the 31st of October to watch a documentary (or film) about the Reformation.

so Halloween wasn't celebrated much in the UK in the 60's ? what about the 50's etc ?? so what exactly was ' guising ' ?Frankymole wrote:They had pagan / black magic stuff in "Warlock" so something set at Halloween would be okay, but the dressing up and trick-or-treating wasn't much done in the 1960s in Britain, except in Scotland with the tradition of "guising".
