If its The Prisoner TV Series you're referring to there's one little difference to my mind. As was said, the hotel staff are excellent and Parker (Dudley Foster) never really looses his cool. In The Prisoner, No 6 made most No 2's, lose their temper and so it is an angrier show. It's quite delightful in The Avengers when the baddies are as polite as butlers in a P.G.Wodehouse story!
