Patrick Macnee's 100th birthday banner competition

Post by dissolute »

A great idea by Allard to have a commemorative banner for Patrick Macnee's 100 years, and even better suggestion that it be another banner competition.

So, sharpen your pencils, and send you entries, on the back of a postcard, to: patrick -at- dissolute.com.au

Every entry that keeps to the rules will be part of the poll in which all forum members will get to decide which banner will be the winner.

Please read the rules, so your work is eligible.

Rules for the competition:

*The banner must feature the words "THE AVENGERS" and "INTERNATIONAL FAN FORUM".
*Size MUST be 797x180 as per the current banner.
*Transparency is perfectly okay.
*Accepted file formats are: JPG, PNG, GIF.
(Ensure JPG files are high quality to avoid artifacts.)
*Animated GIFs are allowed, but if the words "THE AVENGERS" and "INTERNATIONAL FAN FORUM" appear later, the image may not loop. Make sure the file size does not exceed 1MB. We will mercilessly recompress any we judge to be too large.
* Please note that those who have submitted animations may have their work altered if the forum software requires it.

*As many entries as you want.
*Normal moderation rules will apply to all entries.
*Entries must be sent to patrick -at- dissolute.com.au. (Please include your user name in the mail.)
*Any entries that are posted on the forum will be disqualified, as for the sake of fairness, all banners should be introduced at the same moment.
*Makers should not reveal which banner(s) they made.
*Banner featured: February 6th onwards.

By entering this competition you automatically agree that your entry can be used by this forum.

(These rules are not meant to stifle your creativity, but to make sure that all entries can be used.)

Schedule:
Competition opens: NOW
Last date for entries: 28 JANUARY at 9AM GMT
Poll opens: 28 January 9:05am GMT...
Poll closes: 5 February (but vote by 4 February because of my time zone)
Banner is shown: 6 February onwards.
Please feel free to ask us any questions or for our help and good luck!

Not a single entry so far, not much time left...

If you have sent me a banner and it's lost in virtual limbo, PM me.

I'm going to give this one a miss. Personally as Patrick is no longer with us I don't really understand the 100 years celebration. But then I don't see the point in having a Merry Christmas banner on 26th Jan  Maybe I'm getting old and grumpy
That said I certainly hope someone submits a banner :)
