Yes, she hit society like a hurricane, nothing like her had been seen on TV before - a Gale Force indeed. A woman often superior to a man, equal but complementary to Steed (they each had skills and connections that complemented the other's, making for a brilliant partnership, but she also felt free to speak her mind which often opposed Steed's more underhanded methods and provided a welcome voice of conscience). Intelligent, wise, compassionate, physically capable and extraordinarily beautiful. Who wouldn't fall in love with her? She proved you could retain femininity and conquer the world. Or at least all its diabolical masterminds.

amen to that...spot on, Franky....I love her memories on making Goldfinger...and how she labeled Sean Connery, ' all man '...Frankymole wrote:Yes, she hit society like a hurricane, nothing like her had been seen on TV before - a Gale Force indeed. You nail her perfectly here....none of her successors could match all what you have stated about her here.....with even one of her successors admitting Honor was the best Avenger Girl ? How can that get you in trouble.... simply calling a spade a spade ? 8)Frankymole wrote:Yes, she hit society like a hurricane, nothing like her had been seen on TV before - a Gale Force indeed. ...and what memories they were....the haybarn scene probably convinced Honor that Sean Connery was all man ?mousemeat wrote:amen to that...spot on, Franky....I love her memories on making Goldfinger...and how she labeled Sean Connery, ' all man '...Frankymole wrote:Yes, she hit society like a hurricane, nothing like her had been seen on TV before - a Gale Force indeed. At least the Gale/Steed relationship is far more interesting. Rigg's and Macnee's chemistry is unique, but as a character Gale is more real and more intriguing. Also Blackman had to do it first before Diana.
