Re: The Avengers On Britbox
Britbox/ ITVX have added series 2 & 3 to their Avengers streaming.
The initial upload was a mess with all the episodes wrongly filed but they have now sorted it.
I'd dearly love the sound on these episodes to be remastered.

Re: The Avengers On Britbox
Do Britbox and ITVX share content now, or are they separately hosting it on different sites?

Yes, all the episodes suffer from the usual Studio Canal over-use of noise reduction. It needs someone of the calibre of the Dr.Who team's Mark Ayres to do the audio justice (come to think of it, the episodes could do with the DW team to work on restoring / Vidfiring the visuals as well)!

I'd love them to. They're dab hands with original film material as well, the Strange Report set from Network really benefitted from their work.Elle wrote: ↑Fri Feb 03, 2023 11:23 pm Yes, all the episodes suffer from the usual Studio Canal over-use of noise reduction. Re: The Avengers On Britbox
yeah, it would be nice if studio canal would either invest, or allow a third party like shout factory, Kino-Lober, etc to strike fresh prints, color correct, sound, the works..and in Blu Ray..

Ah, I didn't know they were involved in the Strange Report set. I have it myself and it's a really nice restoration. It's a shame that the DW restoration team don't spread their work out to more things than they do as their work is second to none! They've done a few things here and there (such as the Quatermass & The Pit serial) but I'd love for them to get their teeth into The Avengers!Frankymole wrote: ↑Sat Feb 04, 2023 12:31 amI'd love them to.
