Yes I know he's aged up in Epic, but on that poster he looks many years younger even that that earlier Avengers episode.

also "photoshopping" was around by the sixties, that "Sophisticated Scoundrel", might have been airbrushed a bit.
By the way..... not really registered with me how funny and well done that poster is a humorous element.

Re: 5.11 - Epic
Just for fun I spent much time looking at as many photos of Mr. Wyngarde as I could find
My thinking was perhaps...perhaps this was an existing publicity still from an earlier time
But I didn't find anything even close to it so....
My thinking it is very much part of the episode and the art department probably 'touched it up" to give us the image we see today.

Re: 5.11 - Epic
And just to tidy up on my earlier post
Steed did NOT use the tip of his umbrella to ring the door bell in this scene
He used his middle digit
Not sure where the author got his information
Sloppy reporting at best and makes one wonder about the writers key assertion

Are we even certain it's all Wyngarde? Looks like a mashup with Edward Judd to me... especially the eyebrows.

Re: 5.11 - Epic
yeah, that last b/w photo in this thread, isn't Peter...but it is interesting to look over some of the various pics of him, over the years..especially some of his Avengers era pics

Re: 5.11 - Epic
I see where you're going with Judd but it's Peter as far as I can tell, maybe Edward had a film they were riffing with the parody poster.
Mrs Peel, you're needed!

Re: 5.11 - Epic
Watched Epic again, I remember last time I saw how much I liked it more than I thought I did. This time around it didn't really work for me.
This must be the silliest episode of them all. Yes there are charming Steed/Peel moments and there is a worthwhile parody element to it. A good (minimal) cast. But it was just a step to unbelievable for me. Well.... better next time around.
