I don't think so. He and his agent would've been well down the movie career route. The nearest we got was a line from Steed in his New Avengers episode, about coming back 17 years too late. Though Dr Keel does appear in Too Many Targets, the novel which Big Finish turned into an audio play with lots of Steed's old partners in.

Ian coming back ? virtually no chance..the series, let alone the characters, had evolved greatly, since his departure...
Then again, it might have been interesting for a episode -or-two..

Yes, even the held-over scripts that they made with Jon Rollason in the doctor role felt a bit old-hat once Honor was on the scene. They spaced them out throughout the season and hoped no-one would notice... but to be honest it might've been better to have them all together in a block. And let Honor hit like the gale force she was!
