Absolutely! Laurie Johnson's music for "The Avengers" was a very exciting project and - no - absolutely! - I wouldn't blame anyone for asking about it at all...

... provided that they always accept the fact that I have never been able to, cannot, and will never be able to answer on behalf of publishers or rights holders.

This has been a frequent problem - particularly since the advent of the internet, social media, fora, etc. I've seen a lot of very enthusiastic people very kindly and thoughtfully share information on projects that are about to happen, and - thankfully - most of them *do* happen. But there's also a proportion that don't happen. And when that happens, I have known publishers to be plagued by requests and vilified by fans, often because the commercial venture has had to be aborted for reasons of cost, rights, or whatever. This is one of the reasons that with "The Goodies: Super Chaps Three", Kaleidoscope and I took the decision not even to announce it until we physically had the first few boxes of 200 volumes and knew that it was now, finally, physically A Thing.

As such, I never, even want to get people's hopes up or to over-promise on behalf of a publisher for whom I'm only doing freelance work.

In the case of the music for "The Avengers", with the sad demise of Network, I quickly located a contact for Laurie and his family so that I could return all the assets which I had been provided by Network to them since they are the legal copyrights owners of all this amazing music. At the same time, I also provided my catalogues of the cues and planned notes for the aborted Network releases, along with suggestions for potential music publishers who might be interested in a soundtrack release as specialist as this one...

... so, it's now back with them and they can decide if they want to pursue a release or not, and if they do whether they want me to be involved or maybe - I dunno - maybe actually get on board somebody who understands music rather than just having a knack for sorting music cue data in an MS Excel spreadsheet. And - as such - any potential announcements would be coming from either Laurie's estate as the copyright holders or a commercials company as the publishers rather than myself.

But - yes! - absolutely! - can't blame anyone for asking about this amazing music! :)

All the best
