I've loved Tara King ever since I first saw her back in 1986 or whenever it was. She wasn't always blessed with sympathetic writing but Linda Thorson makes her so loveable. I love that she can be truly kooky and eccentric and have fun with the role.
It was tough though as I also love Purdey but for me she comes alive when paired with Gambit - they are one in my eyes.

Purdey is a much more engaging character than Tara for me. I agree with Rich that she's the best thing about TNA.

Purdey is undoubtedly the best feature of TNA. However, I still perfer Tara. She was just so natural and unpretentious.

I think Purdey is the character Tara should have been.
Tara was a bit inconsistant. Purdey was well-rounded, albeit mad as a box of frogs.
I felt I fully understood Purdey but I still don't really know Tara. I don't think anyone did. I think they hit the ground running when they created Tara and she was a bit all over the place.

A slightly closer call this as these two are my fave Avenger Girl's, but it just had to be Purdey for me - my intro to The Avengers and the first TV beauty I "fell in love" with...

Just Purdey for me. She's a little bit mad, but good fun. Besides, I love the chemistry between her and Gambit. (Tara and Steed can't top that)
