Ray, lots has been said about Elizabeth Shepherd as Emma Peel.

Brian Clemens has said she made herself unpopular on set by taking the invitation by the producers for input into her character too enthusiastically, by (allegedly) turning up on set with whole scenes re-written, having an out of work actor husband in tow, being too cool/cold, playing it for 'real' and having no sense of humour.

(Stay Tuned, vo. 2, no. 7 June 1995, page 14)

As we have nothing but photographs to go by, could you give us a insight on what kind of Avenger girl she would have made?

What was Cyd Child like to work with? It must have been great to have a stunt lady take over the playing of Emma Peel?

Do you think the show would have been able to survive if Patrick had left? Could Steed have been reinvented or replaced?
I doubt it very much.

Which begs the question... How do we do it again?

It would seem that it would need to be a period piece or else it just wouldn't work... Opinions?

You've winded me a bit with some of the more, um, candid comments.

I'll have to get back to your post as I need to turn in, but I just wanted to say 'hello and welcome'.

Are you going to be contributing to any of the Avengers DVDs - commentaries, interviews, etc?
I have been asked, but it's a matter of time and when we get to the UK. I am over twice a year but always tied up for time.
