The trailers for these EuroChannel repeats are so well put together. Some lovely graphic design.

I really love the theme arrangement in this trailer - I've looked around and I can't find it on iTunes or Spotify. Anyone recognise it...?

Thank you Darren, it was produced by Eurochannel, along two other rearrangements for The Avengers theme.

Since we received many requests on them, we published them yesterday on our Youtube account :

If we eventually sign a deal for The New Avengers (but still waiting on the HD masters for those that are taking some severe delays due to the multiple rightholders situation), we will most likely do a rearrangement of that one as well.

interesting....and sorta great news for fans of either series..I take it, they are airing re mastered episodes, or the best possible source material ?

We are waiting for HD masters, we've been waiting for a while. Due to coproduction, there is a specific situation on this series for which rights are split between three rightholders (StudioCanal, INA and TF1) when StudioCanal fully owns the original series.

This situation created some legal entanglement that delayed the HD master process. Something we've been pushing for different actors involved for several years now.

Besides the eye pleasure, an SD only availability will greatly limits distribution and exposure for The New Avengers and in a time of 4K, there is a risk of the series simply disappearing in the next few years.

It's very sad that The New Avengers broadcast prints are in such a sad state, they really need sprucing up. The repeats on ITV4 looked almost as faded and poorly-graded as the ones on standard definition DVD. Not really acceptable for a broadcast free-to-air digital (and effectively terrestrial) channel.
