The most important question would be why did the costume designers let Patrick Macnee wear those god-awful larey shirts (and those sideburns!) in the Tara King series?

Weren't those Patrick's choice? It's been awhile, but I thought he was chastised a bit about those. I had wondered if he had chosen them because it was the style back then and he was trying to make himself look a little younger because of Tara (ahh..a woman's influence on her man!).

Fashion is an important part of the Avengers, the hip and modern Mrs. Peel and the classic Steed.

I like Emma's modern clothes but I also like the bit more conventional stylish clothes.

This is a personal favourite of mine, she looks very attractive in it:

And maybe I'm being a typical dirty male here but this one is really sexy:

And that very becoming little dress for The Murder Market

Another black thing that looks good on her:

Shame we only see this one for about 30 seconds only:

A bit odd, but she looks great in it:

I usually don't really like brown with beige:

Another great little dress:

And don't forget Steed's beautiful suits. Almost always impeccably dressed, accept for that furry thing in the MAN EATER FROM SURREY GREEN and some clothes from the Tara King era.

Yes, I like that one too and at the end of the episode she puts on the upside down visor! Great!

Some great ones there! And, I particularly like the black outfit you show with the blue coat and mod hat in 'Escape in Time'

I also like that outfit from 'A Surfeit of H2O' - the pvc affair with target bonnet

Isn't that more of a mauve/beige ... :?: I like the pattern but not the colours - looks a little grubby...

Emma in leather/PVC....

This leather and black material with a beret and patterned headscarf really shouldn't work, but I love it.

I was trying to discreetly hint at the shape not the colour or the pattern.
