SCOTTISH
Scottish TV was the franchise for Central Scotland.
SERIES ONE
Effectively replacing the ATV sitcom “If the Crown Fits…”, the series alternated with “Deadline Midnight”. 7 episodes were shown fortnightly from 10 June to 2 September 1961 (relayed from ABC). At the end of the run, “Deadline Midnight” continued in a later slot while “The Avengers” was effectively replaced by “Ghost Squad”. The later episodes were not scheduled.
SERIES TWO
Unlike the other regions, Scottish did not schedule Series Two as part of the Autumn 1962 season. Effectively replacing the US police procedural “Naked City”, 12 episodes aired weekly on Thursdays from 11 April to 27 June 1963, before the slot was returned to “Naked City”.
SERIES THREE
Effectively replacing “The Human Jungle”, these episodes aired weekly on Saturdays from 28 September 1963 to 21 March 1964 (relayed from ABC from 16 November), after which it was replaced by “The Protectors”.
SERIES FOUR
Replacing the US wartime adventure series “Combat!”, these episodes aired weekly on Tuesdays from 28 September 1965 to 22 March 1966, after which it was replaced by movies.
SERIES FIVE
Replacing movies, these episodes initially aired weekly (in monochrome) initially on Saturdays from 14 January to 18 March 1967 (relayed from ABC), after which the slot was given to “Danger Man”.
Replacing “Haunted”, further episodes aired on Saturdays from 7 October to 18 November 1967 (on a delayed relay from ABC), and was then replaced by movies.
Replacing movies, the remaining episodes aired on Fridays from 8 December 1967 to 19 January 1968, after which the slot was given to “Public Eye”.
SERIES SIX
Replacing movies, the episodes had a delayed start compared to the Autumn 1968 debut in most regions and aired weekly on Thursdays (in monochrome) from 2 January to 1 May 1969, after which the series was replaced by “The Champions”.
Now operating a colour service, three further episodes were scheduled at lunchtime on Sundays from 6 to 20 January 1974, replacing “The Saint” and replaced by the US police procedural “Adam-12”.
Further isolated episodes ran late-night on Friday 8 February 1974 and at lunchtime on Saturday 4 May 1974.
Replacing films, six further episodes aired late-night on Fridays from 18 October to 6 December 1974 (with pre-empts on 1 and 15 November), before the slot was given to the Hammer anthology “Journey to the Unknown”.
A further episode was scheduled late-night on Sunday 26 January 1975.
As such, Scottish Television did not apparently carry any repeats of “The Avengers”.

BORDER
Border was the franchise for the England/Scotland border areas, and came on air during Series One on 1 September 1961.
SERIES ONE
On the second day of broadcasting, Border carried “Kill the King” (relayed from ATV) after which the slot was effectively taken by “Ghost Squad”. Replacing “Deadline Midnight”, the last four episodes were relayed from ABC from 9 to 30 December 1961, with the slot given over to films relayed from ABC.
SERIES TWO
Replacing “87th Precint”, these episodes had a delayed start and on Saturdays from 17 November to 29 December 1962 (relayed from ABC). At New Year, the slot was changed; the Saturday placing was given to “Dimension of Fear”, and “The Avengers” was dropped. There was then another schedule change two months later when “The Avengers” replaced “24-Hour Call” and moved back to Saturdays (relayed from ABC) from 9 to 23 March 1963, after which the slot was taken by “The Human Jungle”.
SERIES THREE
Replacing “Sergeant Cork”, these episodes aired weekly on Saturdays from 28 September 1963 to 21 March 1964 (mainly relayed from ATV London until 28 December and then ABC), after which it was replaced by “The Protectors”.
BEST OF THE AVENGERS
Replacing “Sergeant Cork”, these selected episodes from Series Two were relayed from ABC on Saturdays from 11 July 1964 until 8 August, after which it was replaced by the US Medical Drama “The Eleventh Hour”. With one exception, all these episodes were first-runs for Border which had not taken all of Series Two. The only repeat was:

GRAMPIAN
Grampian was the franchise for the north of Scotland, and came on air during the break in broadcast of Series One on 30 September 1961.
SERIES ONE
Replacing “Deadline Midnight”, the last four episodes were relayed from ABC from 9 to 30 December 1961, with the slot given over to films relayed from ABC.
SERIES TWO
Effectively replacing “Out of this World”, three episodes aired weekly initially on Saturdays from 29 September to 20 October 1962 (relayed from ATV London); an edition of the US police procedural “M Squad” was scheduled on 13 October. The Saturday slot was then given to the US private eye series "Staccato” (aka “Johnny Staccato”). After a gap of two months, 13 more episodes effectively replaced the US sitcom “I Love Lucy” on Sundays from 6 January to 31 March 1963 (generally relayed from ATV London), and replaced by “24-Hour Call”.
SERIES THREE
Replacing the ATV filmed adventure “Man of the World”, these episodes aired weekly initially on Sundays from 29 September to 10 November 1963. The series then swapped slots with the ATV filmed anthology "Espionage” and ran on Saturdays from 16 November 1963 to 21 March 1964 (relayed from ABC), after which it was replaced by “The Protectors”.
SERIES FOUR
Replacing movies, these episodes aired initially weekly on Saturdays from 2 October to 13 November 1965 (relayed from ABC to 23 October). The Saturday slot was then given to the ATV comedy series “The Arthur Haynes Show”, while “The Avengers” replaced the Canadian comedy series “The Wayne & Shuster Show” on Fridays from 19 November 1965 to 25 March 1966 (generally relayed from ATV London), after which the slot was taken by “Redcap”.
As with Ulster, Border did not initially take Series Five at the start of 1967 in line with the other ITV regions. Instead, Series Four was repeated in a primetime slot on Saturdays as a replacement for the US thriller anthology “Alfred Hitchcock Presents”:

The series then swapped slots with the ATV filmed anthology "Espionage” and ran on Saturdays from 16 November 1963 to 21 March 1964 (relayed from ABC), after which it was replaced by “The Protectors”.

This slot was then given to “No Hiding Place” and “The Avengers” moved to Wednesdays as a replacement for “Hong Kong” (although “Hong Kong” aired on 22 March) from 15 March to 12 April 1967.
Effectively replacing “Man in a Suitcase”, a further six episodes aired weekly (in monochrome) on Fridays from 5 January to 9 February 1968, after which the slot was given to “The Saint”.
Replacing “Garrison’s Gorillas”, it was planned to air the remaining five episodes on Wednesdays from 10 July to 14 August 1968, with one pre-empt:

The franchise reorganisation of July 1968 meant that ATV ceased to operate as ATV Midlands on weekdays and ATV London at the weekends and now served the Midlands for the whole week, as such taking on the weekend schedules from ABC Midlands.
SERIES SIX
Replacing “The Saint”, the episodes aired (in monochrome) on Thursdays from 26 September 1968 to 2 January 1969, with a pre-empt for Christmas schedules on 26 December; the series then swapped slots with movies to Friday evenings from 10 January to 2 May 1969, during which time ATV was blacked out by industrial action on 25 April and instead screened a film relayed from LWT.
With three episodes unscreened, the channel launched into repeats, placing movies in the Friday slot and scheduling Series Four repeats not screened by ABC Midlands at primetime on Saturdays in place of films:
