Oh please let them be beautifully restored and looking amazing!!!! Girl on a Trapeze looked wonderful, I hope that all the rest have been restored to if not better then the exact standard.

I really hope that there are some commentaries on these.

I'd also love them to include as many photos from the era as possible as I'm sure there are some great unseen colour images in the archives.

One good thing is that they are a Canal+ company, so will have good access to materials, I'd assume.

I've bought a few Optimum DVDs, mostly Hammer and obscure 70's British horror movies, pretty basic releases but very good quality and a lot of it had never been released on DVD before so no complaints from me.

Well the R2 New Avengers box set was from Optimum, but I don't think the quality was any better than the old Contender releases. They did have commentaries however ...

To be fair, no release of The New Avengers has featured decent prints, and Optimum's is probably the best of the bunch - and the two comms are very welcome.
