Not to be morbid but it would be poignant to have a photo of his tombstone. I wonder if any Forum members live in southern California and could visit the cemetery and post a photo?

The Avengers episodes are so timeless–they've weathered the years so very well–that sometimes it's a shock to remember how old the show is and that Pat has been gone for more than 7 years.

Yes indeed. As J.Mac3 posted above, the entry has been updated. It's possible that his son Rupert knows if his ashes are with a family member or in a private resting place of their choosing, but I think that's family business and we should just be grateful that Patrick, like most of his co-stars, rests in our hearts, memories and the very special effect he had on our lives.

exactly...and as a ex military myself, (USAF) I plan to be cremated..as well..and I want my ashes spread in several places...when the grim reaper finally shows up on my door step...and w/o a doubt, Patrick has made a huge impact on many of us...I would have loved to have known him...what wit. sense of humor, and a great actor...and probably would have been a interesting neighbor....

Yes, Find a Grave lists his burial place as unknown - cremated and "ashes given to family or friends." And yet, the Wikipedia page for Desert Memorial Park (the cemetery near Macnee's home), lists Patrick among their "Notable interments." I suspect that Find a Grave hasn't yet updated it's information. I use their site frequently for genealogical research and the information is often outdated or simply hasn't yet been posted on the site. They rely on volunteers.

any reasons why, he wasn't buried in some of the places he wanted ?

Probably because he was so close to Baba his wife who predeceased him. And being cremated. I don't know if he expressed a wish to his son and daughter that he wanted to be cremated, that's private I guess.

I'm sure his wishes changed as the years went by. Nostalgia for Bosham probably became less important to him.

you're probably right....myself, I plan to go that route..and my ashes spread outside...I certainly don't wanna end up like one of my neighbors, who cremated her husband, and his ashes sit in a glass urn, on a bookshelf...
