Geez, lighten up. My first line was a joke. There's no need to turn this into a Brit vs. US issue or get snippy about it.
Of course "The Avengers" was on once a week. That's what prime time programming is. However, there's a difference between airplay and ratings. That's what I meant about exposure. It completed with Laugh In and Gunsmoke, two of the highest rated shows of the time. That was my point.
I happened to prefer the "Avengers" to MI, and most of the other series opposite it - or I wouldn't be on this forum.
