Big Bear wrote:Thanks for the interest and orders for the book. It's got off to a good start and we sold a good number of copies yesterday.

I started reading On Target and Stay Tuned again in lockdown and really enjoyed them and thought a lot of the great content should be put back out there, as many new fans will have never read them. I contacted Dave and he loved the idea and is still very much a fan of the show. He said let's do it but do it for a worthy charity.

So we worked together over the year picking out some favourite interviews and articles, some remain the same as they did in the magazine others we added new illustrations to along with vintage ads and other items of the era.

I really wanted it to be a lovely nostalgic chunky Christmas read and at 244 pages I think it does that nicely. I really hope you like reading the content again. Attached is a preview of the interior and the full cover.

the graphics and lay out ....look very good...first rate !
Fascinating - made with love. :P I can't wait to pick up this book, get hold of Dave Rogers' fanzines and start comparing, finding coincidences and differences. At the same time, refresh memory with material.

P.S./ This original book gave me the idea now that maybe we will survive when we see some release of edition with songs by Julie Stevens from The Avengers. :D :D :D

I'm really glad these high quality articles have been brought to the attention of Sam Clemens, he deserves to realise how well his dad's work is (and always was) regarded. It stands the test of time.

Yes, it's great to see Sam Clemens involvement. Plus he has a personal link with The Avengers himself now, having been closely involved with the two most recent volumes of Big Finish's comic adaptations audiobooks.

He did some acting on the Series 1 missing episodes releases too. Volume 1, I think. Ah yes, credit: Samuel Clemens (Scott / Wilson / Borsh).

Sam was amazing, I dropped him a message and we were talking on the phone within a couple of days. He is a very busy man but found the time to write a lovely afterword and supplied an image of himself with his brother and dad that I don't think has been seen before.

Dave's extensive interview with Brian is in the book and when Sam receives his copy it will be the first time he will have read it which is lovely.
