^I think you're about the only one so far who hasn't featured The Hour That Never Was in their top 10

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I don't know. It's wonderfully atmospheric and beautifully shot, and there are some wonderful bits of Steed and Emma wandering around at the start, but any Avengers episode where half of the team is AWOL for most of it loses part of its sparkle for me--I watch it for the character dynamics more than anything. So I can't go for the House That Jack Built, either. (Georgie's so much fun she almost makes up for it in Girl From Auntie, though).

I had this 12th myself. Still a 10/10 episode though. Too many good episodes this season!

Dissolute, are these in your fave order. If so, nice to see someone putting Brimstone on top. I love this episode, though it seems to divide the fans on this forum more than most episodes. I love the sets, costumes and dark sinister atmosphere.

I have not seen quite yet all the season four episodes, but here is my list anyway:

The Hour That Never Was, could/should/would be on it but I have to see that one again before I make my final judgement.

The Thirteenth Hole and Castle De'Ath did just not quite made it on to the list.

Of course they're in order, just check the "top ten"page of my site. (Allard, you're very cheeky using my title cards in your answer, but I wish I'd thought to do it!)

Better late than never, but as this series has so many really enjoyable episodes my choices can keep varying with the weather!

1. Death at Bargain Prices
2. The Hour that Never Was
3. Honey for the Prince
4. A Touch of Brimstone
5. The Town of No Return
6. Small Game for Big Hunters
7. Too Many Christmas Trees
8. The Danger Makers
9. The Cybernauts
10. A Surfeit of H2O

Death at Bargain Prices always tops my lists- it seems to have just about everything I enjoy and there's nothing better to have on my laptop when away. The Hour that Never Was and Honey for the Prince represent to me the strengths of the show with very different styles of episodes that are still hugely enjoyable, whilst the first meeting of Cartney and Mrs Peel in A Touch of Brimstone is so charged that it has to a top ten episode just for that.
