With the first 3 seasons the blooper reels were pretty much left in the episodes, as they could only afford a couple of edits per story, and those were spoken-for in the director's shooting schedule (for major scene/costume changes etc). The surviving first recording of Sydney Newman's Doctor Who consists of a few runs at half the episode at a time, to be edited later, which are full of gaffes - it was so bad they had to re-do the entire thing some weeks later. Strangely the BBC kept that recording, even though they didn't broadcast it until decades later as a curio, so maybe somewhere there's a "Hot Snow" in unedited form lying around... perhaps that's even why only one "reel"/Act exists? Unlikely, but stranger things have happened.

yeah, finding a complete episode of HOT SNOW, would pretty much be the holy grail.....the reason that majority of first season episodes don't exist, is because the video tape was erased & re used....but yeah, the mistakes were left it, for the most part..due to not editing

Marking up the map in Intercrime... with the next planned operations in Bristol, Carlisle and Glasgow... which all seem to be on the northeast border of Wales.... I think the actor was a bit geographically unaware! A shame, after they bigged up Leeds and Newcastle earlier in the episode.

Huh? Bristol, Glasgow and Carlisle are nowhere near northeast Wales. Or are you saying that was the line, in which case it's the script writer's fault.
Mrs Peel, you're needed!

He was indicating them on a map as he spoke, and pointed to completely the wrong areas. As I say, he indicated three small areas close together and northeast of Wales when he mentioned each city. So the episode makes it seem they're all there (somewhere near Liverpool?).dissolute wrote:Huh? Bristol, Glasgow and Carlisle are nowhere near northeast Wales. Liverpool....always wanted to visit there..besides being the breeding grounds of the Quarrymen, and later the Beatles, the town has a rich history of sortsFrankymole wrote:He was indicating them on a map as he spoke, and pointed to completely the wrong areas. Another time travel episode, set in the future... in The White Elephant, Steed is observing a freshly-picked daffodil (a spring flower) "growing", as he mentions in dialogue. It was made in November 1963 and shown on 4 January 1964, so presumably the prop is a plastic daffodil. But in the context of the story it must be at least a few weeks, probably a month or two in the "future" from when it was shown - bringing the audiences at home a welcome hint of spring in the doldrums of mid-winter.Frankymole wrote:I also forgot the episode they wrote is "time travel" in a way - it is set a month in the future! http://theavengers.tv/forever/gale1-7vr.htm
