A blog for all fans of Patrick Macnee and John Steed :D

Nice! Something new for The World of Patrick Macnee website:

Photo of young (29 years old) Patrick Macnee

Patrick Macnee as Prince Albert in the play “Victoria Regina” (1951) by Laurence Housman.

Theatre Royal Windsor

The photo is from the festival number of the magazine “Curtain Up” Vol. 5, no.3

Wonderful stuff, Chris!!! :P Additionally by reason, that this period, Patrick's work at Windsor, is one of the most poorly studied.

By coincidence, I recently visited Ebay and did not see this magazine, now I see that it was already sold (this time I did not decide to look at the goods already sold). :D

This information in theatre magazine is well complemented by the material that was posted recently (on 23 May) on Patrick Macnee page on Facebook: :)

In keeping with the recent royal wedding, and mirroring the procession through Windsor, here is a May 1951 publicity shot for the Windsor Theatre Royal's production of
"Victoria Regina." Patrick played the Prince Consort, along with Margaret Wedlake as Queen Victoria (also seen in this picture) and Patrick Cargill. The writer was Laurence Housman.
