Fave season
Nothing ground-breaking, but here goes:
1] 4th - peak of Rigg's work and scripts, IMHO.
2] 5th - sometimes too over-the-top and same-y, [ bizarre death, another death, yet another death, etc.] but still classic Avengers.
3]3rd
4]2nd
5]6th [good stories, but just not a big Tara fan, largely due to her at-the-time acting.]
6] NA 1 [love Purdy but could have done without Gambit; MacNee and Lumley would have made a classic Avengers duo.]
7]NA 2 [got boring towards the end.]
8] 1st [based on limited viewing.]

I agree, every season, let alone every episode has it's own distinct wonderful character, but if I had a gold plated ivory carved handled revolver points to my head :
1) Season 5 (color Rigg series)
2) Season 3 ( b&w Blackman series)
3) Season 6 ( color Thorson series)
4) Season 4 ( b&w rigg series)
5) Season 2 (b&w Smith, Blackman series)
6) TNA '76
7) TNA '77
Season 1 ( Hendry)
1) Season 5 (color Rigg series)
2) Season 3 ( b&w Blackman series)
3) Season 6 ( color Thorson series)
4) Season 4 ( b&w rigg series)
5) Season 2 (b&w Smith, Blackman series)
6) TNA '76
7) TNA '77

I'm not sure there is a real answer to this question, I go back and review a season, and find it better than ever
1. Season 4 - In a Class All Its Own
followed by...
2. Season 6 - Weird, Intense - the SuperTaster of Avengers seasons
3. Season 5 - Many All-time Greats and a few retreads but by no means should this season be relegated to lesser status
4. Season 2 - Pulls no Punches in the Gender Wars, nor in its intelligent, unpredictable scripting
5. Season 3 - an evolution which pushes the envelope in attitude and style and plot
6. TNA 1 - solid 70s drama, perhaps not as unique, but a worthy successor to the original series.
7. TNA 2 - when its on, its on - O, Canada.
8. Season 1 - not enough info - what's there is intriguing.

this list, is as close as mine..more-or-less..Timeless A-Peel wrote:1. Season 4 (Emma B&W)

5. Season 6 (Tara)
6. Season 3 (Cathy)
7. Season 2 (Cathy/King/Venus)
8. Keel (although this has nothing to do with merit--it's just very difficult to rate when we have so little to go on).
The Cathys gave me a bit of a pause because I haven't gotten my set yet, and so haven't given most of them a rewatch. I doubt that they'll dramatically change which eras I love, but I think I'll probably reevaluate them. I realise, too, that technically Tara's era is probably better in terms of plots, but this is personal preference, and the scripts just can't make up for the fact that I engage with Emma, Gambit, and Purdey better than Tara.
I concur with the keel era, only becAUSE there's so little to go by...

This is my order of preference, too, except I would put Season 1 in 6th place and Season 6 in Fourth place. Overall I think the Tara season is a tad better than the colour Rigg, due to the better storylines.KennyG wrote:1. Season 3 [second Blackman season]
