Having been stung NZD50 by NZ post to send the series 1/2 faulty discs back, with no compensation by Optimum considering all these errors are their fault I've not bought another set yet.

Even the fault free series 3 isn't enough to convince to support them. Series 4, 5 and 6 all carry faults and they expect the consumer to send these back at their own expense? I'd rather not waste my money or my time.

I can't say I blame you for not buying any of Optimum's other Avengers releases, as NZD50 is really quite the rip-off.
The most it has cost me to return DVD's to Optimum was the series 5 DVD's which I returned last week in a small cardboard package (not sure why I feel the need to protect the discs, but I even put them in separate sleeves!) from the USA for $6.48 (which, at today's exchange rate is NZD 8.64).
It is annoying that we have to return the DVD's (even more so at our own cost), but I am extremely grateful that, unlike countless other companies, Optimum is addressing the problems (and in a timely fashion, too!).

Try US $14 to ship the set back to Amazon UK. It takes up to 3 weeks for them process a refund, in case anyone was curious.

Even with the flaws that we've had to contend with, this is the best presentation of the series, bar none. The package and menu graphics are cool. I think it is essential to use the original 1965 Avengers type font. That makes it authentic to me. I do wish someone had been assigned to proofread. Several typos on the packaging and the menu could have been caught.

Many thanks

This is good news, thank you for passing along. Buying the sets in Jan or Feb will possibly also be cheaper online too!

I will probably spring for the massive box set; maybe not right away, but when the price drops a bit. The bonus disc is too tempting to ignore.

Two Qs

Do we know what's on the bonus disc yet?

Is the complete box set a limited edition?
