Yes, I have explained the change to the points system now - Julian wrote that comment before I relayed the change.

There is a time delay because I do have to go to work and can't relay messages between the two forums immediately.

"I find it pretty pointless voting in such a poll as I could never decide which episodes would form my Top 20 and in which order. Also, the fact that Gauillaume has encouraged people to vote if they haven't seen the full existing series, it's not going to be a true gauge of what are generally thought to be the best episodes from the whole run, just which episodes rate best from those people have seen.

Also, the rating score system isn't sensible either, as even as revised, it will give a skewed picture. The obvious, most transparent way to score it would appear to be 20 points for a first choice, down to 1 point for the 20th. All a bit silly and ill-thought out. "

Not going with the obvious choices there but some of my favourites have been bourne out of expecting the worst out of an episode after reading fan reviews and then finding myself pleasantly surprised. The Sell Out and November Five in particular where there is plenty to enjoy in both, however I am aware many disagree with my point of view!

I do understand what some people say about listing episodes that go beyond your favourites. A top three is pretty obvious, but I was flagging
by the time I got to 17 and 18. I was happy to take part in the spirit of things, but I didn't analyse over it too much and there may have been a certain randomness of order towards the end.

That might have been the way with others, so I wouldn't take a poll like that - or any poll - with much scrutiny.
