But yes, I agree with Sam. Radio Steed and Emma aren't identical to their TV counterparts, and neither is their relationship. The way they're written makes it pretty darn obvious they're having a thing (and this comes from someone who still only gives the TV version a "maybe.") So yes, it's pretty much fact in that universe. The radio series is brilliant on so many levels, though, the most intriguing being that it proves you can have the characters of Steed and Emma without Patrick and Diana--I really don't miss them, despite my love for the Emma episodes. Donald Monat and Diane Appleby don't just fill their shoes, they make their own. It's the best non-TV version of the show there's ever been, and I'd encourage everyone to give it a listen.
I agree with everything Timeless A-Peel said about the radio series. I really enjoyed listening to them the first time; now I'm looking forward to hearing them again in much higher quality.
I was watching the episode "Dead Man's Treasure" the other day, with my ear phones in. (It might sound off topic for a second, but hear me out, lol).
The last scene before the tag, where Steed gives Mrs Peel the Champagne, as I quote, "A consolation prize."
Then he leans in, to whisper something...then he kisses her!!
Honest, no lies, I've checked it again. (i.e. I turned the volume up on my ear phones, to hear it, and its a definate, peck on the cheek there, mmmwah, sound can be heard.)
Next time anyone is watching that episode, have a look.
