Just seen on Amazon that The Avengers Season 3 DVD is available to pre-order with a potential 28th December release date.

Great news.

I was hoping for a news of volume 3 before season 1/2 is released. It's good that Optimum seem to have a clear agenda and release strategy and not necessarily waiting to see the sales figures before issuing a further volume.

Are we looking at a bi-monthly release schedule, I wonder ...

Is it going to be as extras-loaded, I wonder? Since so many of the same people were involved in both seasons, one would think it would be easy to pick up commentaries and such at the same time.

Wonder if they'll keep going? If they somehow manage to wangle a Diana Rigg commentary (I know, highly unlikely), that would be a real coup. It'd be nice to have Diana "on the record" once and for all, though.

Well she has done some filmed interviews about The Avengers, they crop up in the TV docuentaries about the series!!

If you pre-order with Amazon, you can always cancel the order if you find them cheaper elsewhere. Rest assured, you will definitely WANT to buy the DVDs...
