As a logical reaction to this thread , do you think there are any Avengers episodes that get more praise and attention then they deserve. Which episodes are overrated according to you?
I for one noticed that some episodes that aren't that great seam to be cherry picked for every trailer for the Avengers.

I don't think it's that funny so much as it is fun to watch.waldotyson wrote:Everybody seems to think "who's who" is a hoot. But I don't- I just don't understand it, I guess. I'd rather see Steed and my beloved Emma for who they really are.

A Touch of Brimstone, possibly the only episode I actually wish had been wiped. It goes so much against the spirit and subtlety of the series it's almost unrecognisable. I don't know what they were thinking when they were churning it out, other than "ratings, ratings, ratings."
I also have difficulty understanding the appeal of Brief for Murder. I'm sorry, but almost fifty minutes of two men going on about how clever they are cannot be offset by the sight of Patrick in an oversized bowler. The Gale era at its most snooze-inducing.

"A Touch of Brimstone". Always nice to see Jeavons, but this episode is truly appaling in so many ways. Awful!
"Man-Eater of Surrey Green" is okay as a "Quatermass" pastiche, but it really is extraordinarily odd; even as a SF fan of sorts, I can't really get into it. And Emma insisting they've found vegetation on the moon renders me unable to view her as a scientist.
I agree also on "Brief For Murder" - it's not bad, as such, but there are plenty of better Cathy episodes.
