Camera Angles

Post by buck1107 »

In watching "The Positive Negative Man" again last night, I was reminded of the great use of creative camera angles used throughout the series, especially during the Peel era. .
It seems like "The Town of No Return" also utilized some interesting angles, especially in the Tavern/Inn scenes that heightened the tension.

It's interesting comparing the use of camera angles then and now. Watching some of the Cathy Gale episodes I was impressed with some of the angles used.

That's wonderfully done, agreed!
The opening shots with the castle, all done (I think) with nighttime filters almost look like 'infrared' photography. Really a nice look.

In The Town of No Return, I remember a scene in which the staircase as it appeared downstairs had an angular shot several times, as well.

Hammond covered all the angles and most of the salient points.

And probably Secretariat in the 7th.
