In watching "The Positive Negative Man" again last night, I was reminded of the great use of creative camera angles used throughout the series, especially during the Peel era. .
It seems like "The Town of No Return" also utilized some interesting angles, especially in the Tavern/Inn scenes that heightened the tension.

That's wonderfully done, agreed!mousemeat wrote:some of the peel monochrome offerings, are great..like castle le'deathhans wrote:It's interesting comparing the use of camera angles then and now. Watching some of the Cathy Gale episodes I was impressed with some of the angles used.
etc
The opening shots with the castle, all done (I think) with nighttime filters almost look like 'infrared' photography. Really a nice look.
In The Town of No Return, I remember a scene in which the staircase as it appeared downstairs had an angular shot several times, as well.
