Honor Blackman era gets dubbed in Germany

The german/french television channel ARTE dubs the Honor Blackman episodes for the first time! I have no official statements but there appeared several evidences on the internet!
I don't know how they do that, but I'm lokking forward to this!

Forgive my ignorance, but what does synchronisation mean? Is it the same as dubbing?

According to this site 54 episodes from season 2 and 3 will be shown for the first time (50 years to late
) in Germany

"Mit Schirm, Charme und Melone" wird 50. Rechtzeitig zum Jubiläum des Serienklassikers, der am 7. Januar 1961 in Großbritannien seine Fernsehpremiere feierte, zeigt arte ab 6. Dezember 2010, 18.05 Uhr, erstmals insgesamt 54 im deutschen Fernsehen niemals gezeigte Folgen.
Bei den 54 Folgen handelt es sich - soviel lässt sich aus der noch knappen Erstankündigung von arte schließen - um einen Teil der ersten 78 Folgen der "Avengers", in denen u.a. Ian Hendry als Dr. David Keel und Honor Blackman als Cathy Gale an der Seite von John Steed (Patrick MacNee) ermittelten, bevor ab der vierten Staffel Diana Rigg als Emma Peel Steeds Partnerin wurde.

I don't think so, because season 2 has 28 episodes and season 3 26 episodes.

Season 1 has two fully extant episodes;
Season 2 has 26 episodes; Season 3 has 26 episodes. That makes 54 episodes.

It's great that these episodes have finally been dubbed into German and French. I wonder how they've done it - possibly they've re-recorded the entire soundtrack for each episode, including music and sound effects?
